We Are So Excited To Be Back!
We have missed you all here at Mulberry Wellness and we would like to thank you for your patience in these unpredictable times! We’re thrilled to be back in the clinic, doing what we love with health and safety as our number one priority for our staff and clients. While we’ll still be providing the highest level of care, the clinic and your physio or massage appointment process will have some changes, which we’ve done our best to outline below. We’re also continuing to offer mobile (in home) and telehealth (virtual) sessions where appropriate. If you have any questions, would like more info or just want to say ‘hi!’ please feel free to contact us at info@mulberrywellness.ca or 905-529-8800
So here’s what to expect at your next appointment (other than smiles. LOTS of them. Carrie has not stopped smiling since being back in clinic... not that you can see them as she’s wearing a mask. But Victoria is pretty smiley too and she’s behind a clear Sneeze guard at the desk so you can see hers!).
You can still book online, by email or by phone. You will be contacted after booking to complete an initial COVID-19 screen and to go over our new procedures (which you’re reading here).
One hour before your appointment you’ll receive an additional online COVID-19 screen via our system - Janeapp. If you don’t receive this screen or would prefer, you can call into the clinic for a screen prior to entering. You will need to complete this screen prior to entering the clinic. Staff also complete a screen each day before entering the clinic.
If all clear, you may enter the clinic no more than five minutes before your appointment as we are limiting the number of people in the clinic to physical distancing as well as to allow for FULL sanitization of all contact spaces between clients (We’re starting an over/under poll on how many times Tori sanitizes the door handle and every other contact surface per day).
We are requiring everyone over two years old to please wear a mask in clinic. If you do not have one we will provide a disposable mask or you can purchase a fancy, reusable cloth one. We feel your pain; your therapist will also be wearing a mask while in clinic.
Upon coming through the front door, you will step into ‘the zone,’ marked by yellow and black tape and sanitize your hands and fill out consent to treatment form. You will then be directed leave the zone and proceed to the appropriate, fully sanitized treatment room.
Your masked, fully sanitized staff therapist will then complete your treatment (yay!). All treatment rooms are thoroughly cleaned and all linens changed between each client (we’re also taking an over/under poll on how many times we do laundry a day). All equipment is sanitized after each use or quarantined for 3 days after use.
When your appointment is finished, you will again sanitize your hands and your therapist will escort you to the front desk to book any needed follow-up appointments through the clear screen we installed (Ok, we had installed - Thank you Conrad! – Carrie is, apparently, not exactly handy). Direct billing can be completed and if there is an amount owing, we prefer contactless payment via credit/debit card tap. You will receive an electronic receipt via email.
For mobile appointments – your therapist will call when they have arrived at your home to complete a COVID screen for you and all members of your household. They will hand sanitize prior to entry and will wear a mask throughout treatment (and ask that you do as well) as well as disposable shoe coverings. All items brought into your home will be thoroughly cleaned before and after entry.
We thank you for taking the time to read this and are so appreciative of your willingness to follow these standards to promote the health and safety of everyone! We would hug you if we could!
While trying to keep this light, we want to assure you that every appropriate infection control, hygiene and physical distancing measure is in place to ensure the safety our clients, their support staff and our clinicians as we begin a gradual and careful return to clinic treatment. We have adopted measures recommended by our professional organizations through IPAC and Ontario Public Health and have stringent health and safety protocols. We will continue to keep informed with Public Health protocols and implement any recommended safety measures that aren’t already in place.
