Carolyn Hudson, MSW,RSW
Registered Social Worker
Carolyn is a registered social worker with a diploma in Child and Youth Care, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Master of Social Work. She is also a certified yoga teacher and dance meditation facilitator. She works with children, youth, individuals, couples, and families, with a special emphasis on women’s mental health. Carolyn offers support to those experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She also assists with self-exploration, processing trauma, and deepening the connection to one's body and self. Passionate about supporting others on their unique journeys, Carolyn considers it an immense privilege to do this work.
Committed to the mind-body connection, Carolyn is dedicated to creating a therapeutic space where individuals can find healing through their connection to self and body. In her therapy sessions, she integrates a range of interventions to support her clients' journeys. Carolyn integrates techniques from Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, and body mapping tools to foster a sense of safety and understanding of the internal landscape. She incorporates mindfulness practices, Expressive Art Therapy, and Dance Movement Therapy techniques to help clients express and process in creative and non-verbal ways. Her approach is further enhanced by Narrative Therapy and Feminist Theory, ensuring that each client's story and personal context are honoured and valued.
When not in her role as a social worker, Carolyn loves spending time with her family, particularly enjoying moments with her son. On her days off, she can be found reading a good book, playing at the park, or having a dance party in her kitchen!
