Dr. Sylvie Smets obtained her Doctorate of Naturopathy at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, after completing a Bachelors of Sciences in Mathematics from Queen’s University. She is passionate about supporting others in taking charge of their own health and will be covering Dr. Ariana's mat leave from September to December. During this time, she will be seeing patients virtually, offering naturopathic care in both French and English.
Although she runs a general practice, Sylvie has a special interest in digestive health, mental health, as well as immune health, from allergies to autoimmune conditions.
Her passion lies in understanding the nervous system and its profound impact on all organ systems. Whether we are addressing digestion, mental health, chronic pain, immune dysfunction, or any other health concern, the role of the nervous system cannot be overlooked if we are seeking optimal health and well-being.
Sylvie works with her patients to identify the underlying cause of their health concerns and develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their unique needs. As a Naturopathic Doctor, she is committed to empowering her patients to take an active role in their health and to achieve their best possible quality of life.
In addition to her naturopathic practice, Sylvie also devotes her time to practicing and teaching acroyoga, immersing herself in nature, and nurturing connections with friends.
